Itinerary
Day 1 – Salt Lake City, UT
Arrive today in Salt Lake City, UT, where you enjoy an overnight stay at a local hotel. Dinner is included this evening at a local restaurant. (D)
Day 2 – National Museum of Wildlife Art w/Private Luncheon – West Yellowstone, MT
This morning after breakfast, depart Salt Lake City and begin your winter adventure to Yellowstone. The first stop today is in Jackson, WY at the National Museum of Wildlife. Here you will stand face to face with life-size sculptures on the outdoor trail, view the vistas of the National Elk Refuge and experience the wildlife of the world through art of all mediums in the curated collection and exhibits.
Next, enjoy a private Luncheon at Palate – A Luxurious Art and Nature Experience. Enjoy the epitome of luxury dining at Palate, the only restaurant in the Tetons offering a stunning fusion of gourmet cuisine, spectacular views, and world-renowned wildlife art. Set within the elegant Members Lounge of the National Museum of Wildlife Art, this experience allows you to indulge in a curated menu inspired by the natural beauty surrounding them.
Afterward, enjoy an intimate tour of the gallery, showcasing timeless masterpieces that celebrate the rich wildlife of the region, all while overlooking the serene National Elk Refuge.
End the day in West Yellowstone, MT with a two-night stay at a local hotel. Dinner tonight will be included at Bullwinkle’s Saloon & Eatery, a West Yellowstone favorite. This family-owned restaurant takes great pride in preparing delicious made-from-scratch meals using only the freshest ingredients. (B,L,D)
Day 3 – Full Day Guided Yellowstone Snowcoach Tour
Winter in Yellowstone delivers a more intimate experience, fascinating snowy landscapes, and frosty animals. Geyser basins are magical when influenced by cold temperatures, becoming what one might call canvases of fire and ice. The winter experience also offers incredible photography, skiing, snowshoeing, and wildlife watching.
The only way to access Yellowstone in winter is by way of snowcoach, snowmobile, cross-country skiing or snowshoeing! Your full day of Yellowstone adventure begins as you board your snowcoach this morning. You will visit the world’s most concentrated geothermal area with your knowledgeable local guide. The tour includes stops at Madison Junction, Fountain Paint Pot, Fountain Flat Road and Biscuit Basin, and lots of wildlife stops. A box lunch is also included and sightseeing time at Old Faithful.
Returning to the hotel, dinner is on your own this evening. (B,L)
Day 4 – Jackson, WY – National Elk Refuge Sleigh Ride – Free Time in Historic Jackson – Guided Grand Teton National Park Tour
After breakfast, depart West Yellowstone and return to Jackson, WY. Start with a visit to the National Elk Refuge where you enjoy a Sleigh Ride. Climb into a horse drawn sleigh, you will meet your guide and take a ride into the National Elk Refuge. You will find yourself in the middle of a western adventure unlike any other. Fascinating facts about the elk themselves are shared as you sit just feet away from these majestic animals. The open air of the National Elk Refuge on a sleigh is the perfect setting for questions and answers that will take your breath away.
Then enjoy free time for lunch on your own in Historic Downtown Jackson. Dine at world famous Million Dollar Cowboy Bar, Roadhouse Brewing Company or Hatch, just to name a few.
This afternoon, embark on an unforgettable guided tour through the stunning Grand Teton National Park, home to some of the most iconic wildlife in North America. As you explore the park’s diverse landscapes, your expert guide will lead you to prime wildlife viewing spots, where you may encounter bison, wolves, bighorn sheep, elk, and other remarkable species in their natural habitat. Be sure to bring your binoculars for an up-close look at these majestic creatures in the wild. This immersive experience offers both the beauty of nature and the thrill of spotting wildlife in one of the most breathtaking national parks in the country.
End the day by checking into your hotel for the night followed by dinner at a local restaurant. (B,D)
Day 5 – Salt Lake City, UT – Utah Olympic Park – Mormon Tabernacle Choir Rehearsal
This morning, depart Jackson after breakfast and travel to Salt Lake City, UT. The afternoon will feature a guided tour of Utah Olympic Park, the 2002 Winter Olympics venue in Park City, Utah. This tour highlights the park’s history, iconic ski jumps, and bobsled track, offering insight into past Olympic events. Today, it serves as a training center for elite athletes and an adventure hub for visitors. Tour the Eccles 2002 Olympic Winter Games Museum and perhaps see athletes train. A must-visit for sports and history enthusiasts!
Check into your Salt Lake City hotel for the night followed by dinner at a local restaurant. End the day with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir Rehearsal this evening from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. (subject to availability) (B,D)
Day 6 – Depart for Home
