Itinerary
This package is available in the Spring or the Fall.
Day 1 – Natchez, MS – Show at Natchez Little Theatre
Arrive in Natchez, MS and check into your centrally located hotel for a two night stay. Dinner is included this evening at a local restaurant. This evening, enjoy a show at Natchez Little Theatre, Mississippi’s oldest community theatre. In the spring, Southern Exposure is the show of choice. (D)
Day 2 – Natchez Antebellum House Tour – Carriage Tour of Historic Natchez – Evening Event at Towers
Today, tour three of Natchez’s Antebellum Homes. You will feel like you stepped into the history books as you see some of Mississippi’s best preserved homes. Most of these are private residences that open their doors to visitors during Pilgrimage every spring and fall. Your guides are costumed family friends and descendants of the original owners, whose stories are as real as the bricks and mortar in their hearths. Each house is unique with 18th- and 19th-century furnishings, porcelain, silver, clothing, tools, documents, and diaries.
This afternoon enjoy a horse-drawn carriage tour through Historic Natchez. Your guide will provide narration and point out buildings and areas of historic significance.
This evening dinner is included at local restaurant. After dinner, enjoy a special evening event at The Towers. Prepare to be dazzled with the decor of this Gorgeous Antebellum Mansion. Owners Ginger and James Hyland enjoy opening their home to allow public see their personal collection of museum quality pieces.
In the spring, enjoy an intimate candlelight tour of the Towers. Experience Art, Architecture, and Antiques along with History, Hauntings and the Hylands … a personal evening tour with champagne and sweets.
In the fall, take a paranormal tour of the Towers. Get ready for goosebumps when you visit one of the most haunted places in America. The Towers has lingering ghosts/spirits that roam the halls of this beautiful Antebellum Mansion. The owners will welcome you and guide you into a reality you have never witnessed before. (B,D)
Day 3 – Antebellum Home Tour – Depart for Home
This morning, groups who have extra time, can visit one more Antebellum home before departing. (B)
