Itinerary

This route can also be taken in reverse, starting in Denver and ending in Salt Lake City.
Day 1 – Salt Lake City
Today, arrive in Salt Lake City, a city steeped in history and alive with energy, where every corner tells a story. End your day with an overnight stay in Salt Lake City. Dinner is on your own this evening.
Day 2 – Moab, UT – Full Day on the Canyon Spirit – Colorado River Jet Boat Ride
Depart Salt Lake City this morning onboard Canyon Spirit, a new elevated rail experience from Armstrong Collective, the visionaries behind Rocky Mountaineer. Experience an immersive adventure exploring the region’s stunning landscapes while enjoying exceptional service and comfort.
You’ll indulge in breakfast and lunch, as well as a selection of included snacks and both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. You’ll travel past Provo, through the historic Thistle Tunnels, cross Soldier Summit and descend the steep and scenic Price River Canyon. You will take in sweeping views of majestic rock formations of the Book Cliffs as you make your way into Thompson Springs where you’ll be whisked away from the train to the adventurous town of Moab with ample time to enjoy a sunset or have a meal from a local restaurant. End your day with an overnight stay in Moab.
This evening, you will enjoy a unique experience as you take a Sunset Jet Boat Ride on the mighty Colorado River through spectacular red rock canyons. As the sun dips in the west, the canyon colors come to life while you learn about the river’s ecosystem, geology and history. After a thrilling ride, enjoy a delicious cowboy-style BBQ dinner served on the banks of the Colorado River before returning to your hotel.. (B,L)
Day 3 – Glenwood Springs, CO – Free Morning in Moab – Half Day on The Canyon Spirit
Depart Moab in the afternoon and travel onboard Canyon Spirit, where you’ll dine on a delicious locally inspired dinner. You’ll cross the Utah-Colorado border with stunning mountain views in the background before arriving in the resort town of Glenwood Springs.
Rich with history and culture, Glenwood Springs is home to a vibrant dining scene, boutique shopping, scenic golf courses, and an endless list of outdoor fun.
End your day with an overnight stay in Glenwood Springs. (B,L,D)
Day 4 – Denver, CO – Full day on The Canyon Spirit
Depart Glenwood Springs this morning and travel onboard Canyon Spirit, where you’ll savor breakfast and lunch. Enjoy sweeping views of rugged canyons and the Colorado River as you cross the Continental Divide. Soon, you’ll arrive in the vibrant city of Denver for a two night stay.
Explore at your leisure the dynamic city of Denver where you can uncover the Mile High City’s vibrant charm, from its lively streets to its hidden gems. Dinner is on your own this evening. (B,L)
Day 5 – Colorado Springs, CO – Garden of the Gods w/Boxed lunch – Pikes Peak Cog Railway – Chuckwagon Dinner & Western Show
This morning, travel by motorcoach to Colorado Springs, CO and start with a visit to the famous Garden of the Gods. Filled with dramatic view of 300′ towering rock formations against a backdrop of snow-capped peaks and blue skies. The visitor’s center is the most visited attraction in the region featuring a great movie titled, “How Did Those Red Rocks Get There?” A boxed lunch will be included today with your visit.
This afternoon, take a ride on the Pikes Peak Cog Railway. this 8.9 mile long ride begins along Ruxton Creek in Englemann Canyon. The track is built next to the stream where there are boulder fields on both sides. Conductors like to point out the various “faces” and shapes, which with a bit of imagination can be seen in them, during the first 1/3 of the trip. Then you pass Minnehaha Falls and through a natural gateway known as Hells Gate, past Lake Moraine and Mount Almagre before climbing above the timberline. You will spend 20-30 minutes at the 14,110-foot summit. From here, on a clear day, you can see the skyscrapers of downtown Denver and the Great Plains to the east.
Then check into your Colorado Springs hotel for the night.
Tonight, you will visit the Flying W Ranch, a real working cattle ranch that also entertains tourists. You’ll enjoy the picturesque setting, authentic Western Town and a tasty Chuckwagon Supper. Following dinner, top off the evening with an outstanding Western Stage Show underneath a star filled Colorado Sky. (L,D)
Day 6 – Depart for Home
After breakfast, depart for Denver and your return flight home. (B)
