Itinerary
Day 1 – Cape May, NJ – Guided City Tour – Shopping at Washington Street Mall
Arrive this afternoon in Cape May, NJ, the nation’s oldest seaside resort. Meet your local guide for a guided city tour. Travel through West Cape May to the tip of Cape May’s peninsula, which is one of the most celebrated migratory locations in North America. Entering Cape May Point State Park, you can view our fully restored Lighthouse, built in 1859. Then, it’s onto Sunset Beach where the sunken ship “Atlantus” is still visible, and you’ll enjoy a short shopping stop.
Spend some time shopping at the picturesque Washington Street Mall which serves as Cape May’s town square. Enjoy a variety of unique boutiques, shops, fine dining restaurants, bars, activities, and services located along a three-block stretch of Washington Street, which is closed to vehicular traffic.
Check into your Cape May hotel for a two-night stay. Tonight, enjoy dinner at a local restaurant. (D)
Day 2 – Dolphin Cruise – Lunch at the Lobster House Restaurant – Cape May Maritime Trolley Tour – Dinner at Hemingway’s Restaurant
After breakfast, start the day with a Dolphin Cruise aboard the Cape May Whale Watcher. Experience Cape May in a whole new way as you cruise around the island of Cape May. See Victorian homes, Cape May Lighthouse, and many other points of interest as your Captain narrates the tour. Along the way, you will encounter the dolphins which have made this trip famous. See local dolphins in their pristine environment and learn about their habits and habitat.
Next, enjoy lunch at The Lobster House Restaurant serving the freshest seafood available, often from their fleet of commercial boats. Dine in one of their five unique and picturesque dining rooms overlooking Cape May Harbor.
