Itinerary

We have room for two buses Oct 8-10 at the Holiday Inn Express and Radisson in Covington, KY
And two buses for Oct 11-13 at the same hotels.
Day 1 – Wednesday or Friday – Cincinnati, OH
Arrive today in Cincinnati, OH and check into your Kentucky hotel near the river for a two-night stay. Dinner is on your own tonight. You should explore the festival grounds on this side of the river, enjoy live music, cultural experiences, and festival food.
Day 2 – Thursday or Saturday – Cincinnati, OH – America’s River Roots Festival – Optional Group Cruises – Belle of Cincinnati Dinner Cruise
Today, enjoy a full day at America’s River Roots Festival on the Ohio-side of the river. It is a signature event to kick off America’s 250th birthday celebration on the Cincinnati Riverfront. Celebrate the vibrant culture of America’s river cities, and the impact they’ve made on our nation over the last 250 years.
The riverfront will be filled with riverboats, music, amazing cuisine, culture experiences and so much more. Riverboats scheduled to appear are:
- Anson & Betsy Northup (St. Paul, MN)
- Belle of Cincinnati (Cincinnati, OH)
- Belle of Louisville (Louisville, KY)
- Belle of Memphis, (Memphis, TN)
- Celebration Belle (Moline, IL)
- Mary M. Miller (Louisville, KY)
- River Queen (Cincinnati, OH)
- Steamboat Natchez, (New Orleans, LA)
- Three Rivers Queen (Pittsburgh, PA)
Optional Group Cruises are available from sightseeing cruises, brunch cruises, lunch cruises, Riverboat Races, Parade of Riverboats and even a Late Night Cruise Option. You would be transported back to the great river cities of our nation while traversing the Ohio River.
There will also be 8 stages for live music where nationally recognized, emerging, and local artists play all genres throughout the Ohio and Kentucky Riverfronts. Take a chance to explore a world of flavor with cuisines of all kinds with chef presentations, food trucks, restaurant row, and bourbon and beer tastings. Plus, there will be cultural enrichment experiences including riverboat cruises, the Freedom Journey, Riverwalk Experience, Sounds from the River, and river industry exhibits.
Then end the day with a Dinner Cruise on the Belle of Cincinnati, a majestic and ornate beauty featuring lavish Victorian décor. This cruise features a delectable dinner, music, and stunning landscape views along the Ohio River. (B,D)
